At Mount Pleasant the children strive to be caring and considerate. As part of helping one another we have developed a Children’s Safeguarding Board to promote and improve safety across school for all of our children.
The Children’s Safeguarding Board is made up of children from Years 3- 6, who work alongside the Senior Leadership Team and Safeguarding Governor to keep children safe at our school.
The Safeguarding Board meets regularly to discuss ideas that shape safeguarding and implement change.
The children receive regular training about the things that are going on in the world, and help other children to understand and manage this. Their work has included:
- Delivering assemblies about playing safely on the playground
- Delivering the NSPCC PANTS campaign
- Taking part in a safeguarding audit with officers from Telford and Wrekin Council
- Working with Shropshire Council on parking and road safety.
- Promoting safe cycling and scooting
As a group, they are always looking for ways to make positive change!
